KUALA LUMPUR/ KUANTAN, MALAYSIA: Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Ismail Omar said the police will investigate the threat originating from Kuantan to kill MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu.
He stressed that even though he has yet to receive any report from the Kuantan district police and does not know the details, but it is certainly not a joke.
He said that the police will launch their investigation when such an incident occurred.
The threat was written on the wall of a building along Jalan Abdul Aziz in Kuantan, with black paint.
The warning is divided into three lines. The top line is “Samy Vellu must be killed”, the middle is “absolute power”, while the last line is “traitor, corruption, killers”.
